Salary structure of junior engineer under SSC

If you talk about the gross salary of a junior engineer including several allowances, it is around Rs. 32667 to Rs. 37119. The in-hand salary you can expect is around Rs. 29455 – 33907. SSC JE salary is calculated based on the 7th pay commission. The formula includes

SSC JE salary after 7th pay commission = (Basic pay as on 1st January 2016 X 2.57) + Other Allowances

This turns the in-hand salary to Rs. 44000.
